- Locate the workflowed document in SharePoint.
- Place your cursor over the document to bring up the drop-down menu.
- From the menu, select (click on) Workflows.
- Click on the workflow listed below the Running Workflows section (e.g. Approval).
- Click on Cancel this workflow.
